Day 1 Arrival Day Entebbe

Our driver will pick you from Entebbe Airport after your arrival and bring you to the hotel.

Day 2 Uganda Journey Compact, Kampala – Kibale Forest NP

You start today towards western Uganda, the route passes through a hilly landscape with many beautiful tea fields. After about 320 km you will reach Fort Portal, the center of Toto Kingdom. On clear days you have a great view over the Rwenzori Mountains. On the way is time for a short stop, sip a coffee or buy a souvenir, before heading to the lodge.

Day 3 Uganda Journey Compact, Kibale Forest NP – Queen Elizabeth NP

This morning in the company of an experienced guide you follow the tracks of chimpanzees in the jungle of Kibale Forests. With luck, you soon discover the first primates! Watch the chimps as they play, eat, be lausen or even mate and listen to the impressive sounds of the crowns of trees. After a good lunch, you continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4 Uganda Journey Compact, Queen Elizabeth NP

During the morning game drive, you will see everything most of the African big wildlife. There are numerous of lions, buffalo, hyenas and also the Uganda Kobe Antelope. In the afternoon you will go on a boat safari on Kazinga Channel. It connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Buffalo, Crocodiles and Hippos can be seen from view meters distance.

Day 5 Uganda Journey Compact, Queen Elizabeth NP – Bwindi Impenetrable NP

In the morning we drive to Ishasha. This is the famous place for tree-climbing lions. In Uganda this s the only area where lions show that habit regularly. In the evening you will reach Bwindi Forest.

Day 6 Uganda Journey Compact, Das Highlight Ugandas: Gorilla Tracking!

Today is the highlight of your tour of Uganda! In Bwindi Impenetrable Forest live both gorillas and chimpanzees! This is the only forest in Africa where you can see both monkey species. As you penetrate along the wooded hillsides, tangled vines and bamboo plants in the dense jungle, you learn a lot about the Ugandan giants. Your experienced guide will show you traces of previous activities of gorillas, for example, nests, dung and nibbled bamboo shoots. Soon you will meet the strong, almost human acting Mountain Gorilla! While they undisturbed continue their everyday activities you approach them quietly until you are just a few meters from them. Watch the gorilla and the gorilla will be watching you.

Day 7 Uganda Journey Compact, Bwindi Impenetrable NP – Lake Mburo National Park

Today you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park. It is the smallest National Park in Uganda. In the afternoon you set off for a game drive in the park. In addition to the Kidepo National Park this is the only park where you can see zebras. Since 2015 there are 15 giraffes which have been resettled by rangers.

Day 8 Uganda Journey Compact, Lake Mburo NP – Entebbe

The Lake Mburo National Park is one of the two parks in Uganda, where it is allowed to take a walking safari. Accompanied by a ranger you to go exploring. The animals appear greater without the protective vehicle. Upon your return to the Lodge you start already back to Entebbe / Kampala. Of course, you get the opportunity to take a souvenir photo.

Day 9 Departure day Entebbe

Depending on the time of departure, after breakfast you will have the opportunity to take a guided tour to the Botanical Garden with its large collection of trees from all over the world. Alternatively you could go for a boat tour on Lake Victoria with bird watching activity. With a little luck you will see the very rare prehistoric Shoebill Stork. Then depending on the departure time for your connecting flight to for example to Zanzibar or home our driver will bring you to Entebbe Airport.
