Ugandas Highlights

Day 1 Arrival Day Ugandas Highlights – Entebbe
Our driver will pick you up at the Entebbe Airport and the tour Ugandas Highlights will beginn. Depending on the arrival time you have the chance to visit the city of Entebbe or the botanical garden before you reaching your accommodation. There is also a possibility of bird watching during a boat trip on Lake Victoria (Pre-booking only).

Day 2 Ugandas Highlights Entebbe – Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast you will drive along well-developed roads via Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. The second smallest National Park is famous for its huge Zebra population. During your game drive you can see impala, reedbuck and waterbuck together with long-horned Ankole cattle. Besides these animals there are also hippos, Giraffes, Leopards and one single Lion. Numerous rocks divide the small valleys and offer a great view over the Lake.

Day 3 Ugandas Highlights Lake Mburo National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The Lake Mburo National Park is one of the two parks in Uganda where a walking safari is allowed. After breakfast you will explorer the park with an experienced ranger. There are plenty of footprints and animal droppings which will tell you more about the animals and their behavior. It is particularly exciting to discover the park without the noise of the car. Around noon you will head to Bwindi National Park.

Day 4 Ugandas Highlights Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
Today you will experience the biggest highlight of Uganda! In the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest live both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees! This is the only forest in Africa where you can see both monkey species. As you progress along the wooded slopes, tangled vines and bamboo plants into the dense jungle, you learn a lot about the Ugandan giants. Your experienced guide will show you traces of previous gorilla activities, such as nests, manure and bamboo shoots. Soon you will face the gorilla family. It is a breathtaking moment.
While the monkeys undisturbed continue their everyday pursuits, you can take pictures as many as you want. The gorillas can be only three or four meters away from you. You watch the gorillas and the gorillas will watch you.

Day 5 Ugandas Highlights Bwindi – Queen Elisabeth National Park
The day starts with a good breakfast before you start your drive to Queen Elisabeth National Park. You will initially drive on a ridge on the border of the Bwindi National Park, enjoying the fantastic view of the valleys, which are often covered by fog. The journey passes through the famous Ishasha area, where the tree climbing lions are regularly seen. In the late afternoon you will reach in the Queen Elisabeth National Park for an afternoon game drive.

Day 6 Ugandas Highlights Queen Elisabeth National Park
Today you got two different activities. In the morning there is a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel which is the most popular activity to see hippos, crocodiles and different kind of birds like Pied Kind Fischer, African Eagle, pelican and plenty more. In the Afternoon there is an additional game drive in Queen Elisabeth National Park. Alternatively you can also enjoy the scenic from the Lodge and relax.

On an additional fee and in a Pre-booking you could also join a chimpanzee tracking in Queen Elisabeth.

Day 7 Ugandas Highlights Queen Elisabeth National Park – Entebbe
After breakfast you will leave the Queen Elisabeth National Park with a last view over the plains and depart to Entebbe. Of course we will stop at the equator for a unforgettable memory photo.

Day 8 Ugandas Höhepunkte Departure Day
Depending on the time of departure, after breakfast you will have the opportunity to take a guided tour to the Botanical Garden with a large collection of trees from all over the world. Alternatively you could go for a boat tour on Lake Victoria with bird watching activity.
With a little luck you will see the very rare prehistoric Shoebill Stork Then depending on the departure time for your connecting flight to for example to Zanzibar or home our driver will bring you to Entebbe Airport.
