What to expect:
Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is for many hikers and mountaineers a lifetime goal that you will never forget. There are different routes so summit Uhuru Peak, which is the highest Point in Africa and easy to be reach via KLM, Ehtiopian Airlines or Qatar to Kilimanjaro International Airport. The 10-day expedition via the Machame Route, is a very scenic route with magnificent view to Kibo, Shira Plateau and Maweni. Those are the 3 volcano cones which can be seen while approaching Moshi. From the Airport it will take you a 1-hour drive to the city at the slops of the mountain surrounded by coffee and sugar plantations and a very beautiful green landscape. After arriving the experience Afromaxx team will brief you for the coming days and will check your equipment upfront. The adventure begins!
Keep in mind that climbing Kilimanjaro is not just a hike. You will need to train properly to be able to hike for 7 continues days and you will need to carry special gear which protects you from rain, wind and icy temperatures. It is highly recommended to get a medical check up before you start to climb.

Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrival in Tanzania, drive to Moshi, the starting Point for your adventure
Day 2 Meet and Great, Equipment check and Kilimanjaro Briefing
Day 3 drive to the National Park and Start climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via Machame Route
Day 4 Leave the Rain Forest and climb to Shire Platea with views over Mount Meru and Kibo
Day 5 climb up to 4630 meter to Lava Tower for akklimatizing, then walk down to Baranco Camp
Day 6 climb the famous Baranco wall and continue via Machame Route to Karanga Camp
Day 7 in high Altitue you make your way up the the last sleeping point in Barafu Camp
Day 8 Summit Uhuru Peak at night and walk down to Millenium Camp (10-16h walking)
Day 9 desend to Mweka Gate and drive though the coffee fields to Moshi
Day 10 Celebrate your efforts and sucesss, depart after breakfast
