Within the beautiful plains of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro lies the Maasai Lodge Africa Amini Alama. A fantastic place to relax and enjoy the view to both mountains. It feels like freedom to be on those little hills with a free view over the plaints. And having a pool in such a dry area is more than you can as for. The Lodge is perfectly situated to enjoy the sunset and sunrise with either Mount Kilimanjaro shining in the sun or Mount Meru. The Lodge has a lot to offer. It is a place to learn about the maasai culture and their habits. It is a pleasure to hear about their traditions and the strong bond of the maasai. On a walk you can learn which spices they use for cooking, which local medicine they use, which leaves they use to keep insects away or that they use the termite hill to build their houses. For kids they offer donkey rides in the plains. After all I learned that the lodge is financing most of the income in the school and a local hospital to help the maasai community. Therefor it is not surprising, that all the stuff is so motivated and caring. All in all, a place to stay and enjoy the landscape, the people and the love they share with all their little details they offer.
